Surrender to Succeed

For the past few weeks, the universe has been telling me to share this message with you. I’ve seen friends and strangers alike struggling with this concept that seems so simple to some. It is the key to a happy, successful, and fulfilling life. Do you want to know the secret?

DO WHAT YOU LOVE!

Seems simple enough, right? Awesome! Get to it!

OR maybe in this moment you are making up excuses of why that isn’t plausible. If that is the case, I want you to figure out why you feel this way. Maybe someone in your life has made you feel like a lesser human who doesn’t deserve happiness and abundance in your life. Maybe someone shot down your dreams and you listened without a second thought. Or maybe you haven’t stopped running around in your busy life to consider what it is that TRULY makes your heart sing. Once you figure out why you feel like doing what you love isn’t possible, take a deep breath and let that go on your biggest exhale. Give yourself permission to let go, and surrender your ego for your future self. I am here to tell you that you DESERVE the abundance and happiness in your life that comes with doing what you love.

I used to be in the second group. Five years ago, I was living my life for the people that surrounded me. I had my life planned out based off of what I thought society expected of me. I wasn’t living for me, and I definitely wasn’t happy. If I had followed that path, I would currently be married, with a baby on the way, and working in the corporate world while I went to medical school. Instead, I am a single woman who manages the most AMAZING yoga studio. I literally get paid to hang out in yoga clothes all day and be nice to people. It is the SWEETEST gig. I taught kids yoga today and learned two things: 1. Some of my kiddos love me infinity while others love me forty AND 2. Sometimes a 3 year old girl’s life goal is to be a monster truck when she grows up. When I got home, I did my weekly ritual of treating myself to a candlelit bath with a essential oil bath bomb {the lemongrass bath bomb from Enfusia is one of my favorites}. I wake up every morning excited for what the day will bring because *drum roll* I do what I love.

I do realize this mental transition into doing what is best for you is a tough one, BUT I will share some ways you can slowly adjust.

First, ask yourself if your current life situation if serving you well. For example, does your job make you happy? Do you do things outside of work that give you an extra rush of joy? Are you surrounding yourself with the best, most loyal and supportive people? If not, figure out why.

If you began that job for a particular reason, maybe revisit it. If it no longer makes you feel fulfilled, find a new job! You spend most of your life at your work, so you might as well enjoy it! Don’t force yourself to work somewhere because the money is good. You most likely are working to pay for the expensive house you are rarely in, the nice clothes you wear to work, and the fancy car that takes you there all to impress people who sincerely don’t care about you {sorry to burst your bubble}. When you do what you love, money and abundance follows. People are drawn and want to be around/work with someone who is passionate about what they are doing. Enter, besomebody.

I love this platform for so many reasons. Firstly, it gives people the opportunity to follow their passion and earn money doing it. Secondly, it gives people like you and me to get outside our comfort zones, meet new exciting people, and enrich our lives by learning something new. Doing things that fill you with joy OUTSIDE of work is just as important to maintaining your ultimate self. For me, it’s going salsa dancing, eating cupcakes, and going on shopping sprees for bath bombs. You could find something new to fill your happiness tank with on the besomebody platform. It could also knock that third issue {surrounding yourself with the right kind of people is ESSENTIAL} right off your list. You could meet your new best friend by learning something new!

Once you’ve figured these things out, make the necessary adjustments {YOU DESERVE IT} and you will be well on your way to a happy and fulfilling life each and every day.

Ciao!

❤ Tay
